F is for FUN!

The first few days of this week we were learning the letter F blends: fa, fe, fi, fo, fu. We are now starting on "j" but I'm just getting to blogging about this.

So I made a fishbowl out of construction paper and little "fishes" with the blends on them, and in order for Caleb to be able to put the fish "in" the fish bowl he had to tell me the blend that was on it.

I am amazed at how fast he's picking up on this! And he really loves when we incorporate the games.

cute little hands. :)
He has such concentration on where to place them, he didn't want them "out of the water" because then they wouldn't be able to live. LOL! What a smart boy.
Then yesterday was our craft day so I drew a fish with glue and Caleb put the yarn on it. We did this for 2 papers so when Ay woke up from nap he could do it too!
When Ay was awake I got the other crafts out. Earlier I had drawn and cut two Firetrucks, and they glued them on the paper.
then they glued the ladders on. This kid loves to use glue!
We made flags in between with popsicle sticks and scrapbook paper in between this, but I didn't get a pic because that craft went so fast! These kids are quick with glue. :)

Then time to fingerpaint the inside of the fish!
they had a blast with that!
Ayden was ALL over it. hahaha
We then put little googly eyes on them and Caleb insisted they have a smile, so I tore a paper reinforcement in half and there was our smile! :)
Ayden kept telling Caleb his was a whale, which is exactly what it looks like! But Caleb insisted it was a fish, so that's that! :)
