Fall adventures!

Oh my, where to start?! We have been SO incredibly busy!

At the beginning of the month, we took a few trips to the reservoir for lunches, and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

We also found a baby bunny in our shed in the backyard. We caught it, but when trying to give it some food it hopped away SUPER fast! The boys loved it..

October is the month we start drinking hot cuckoo coffee (hot chocolate) again!

It got pretty cold for like a week and now it's still in the 80's at the end of October. LOL

Gotta love the south!

 I love these pics because they show my boys the way they are every day. Outside on their swings loving just being little boys. Ay has just undies on (the way he prefers it), oh, and they are backwards so he can see the picture better. LOL! Too funny.

We went to the pumpkin patch with some friends about 2 weeks ago! 

We barely made it on time for the last hayride but we all had a blast!

Love seeing these boys together! :)

 The very next day we headed to the State fair! It's only about 20 minutes from us and we love it there!

The boys were SO cute with the rides this year!! Oh my goodness it was fun.

They rode their first roller coaster without us on it, makes me realize how much they are growing up! It was adorable. We had sugary drinks and funnel cake, and the guys had greasy food. Me not so much!

And one of the many highlights of the fair was the fish that Daddy won! He won 

2 goldfish for the boys. Unfortunately they died the morning after because Mommy & Daddy put them in unfiltered water (oops) but now we have a pretty orange/red beta fish named Sharkbait because of it! ;)

We have been enjoying our fall adventures and hope you enjoy a peek into them! We have much more to post about but lack the time to do that, but hopefully soon we'll be all caught up!!

I really need to go to walmart for dog food, but since I can't find my keys...

I decided to catch up on the blog! :)

We've been busy. Same story every time huh? Well, it's December, and though we haven't been to a Christmas party since we're new in town, we've still been so busy!

You see, the last weekend of November was Thanksgiving, and it was busy, but oh so fun!

BUT first things first, we had to prepare. So, Caleb and I went out one afternoon on a mission to pick a bunch of acorns for a special project. We got alot, and had fun doing it.

We didn't get our project done that day, because we had turkeys to make!!

And of course, we had to as Ayden says "Mi mou go pee pee potty" (Mickey Mouse go pee pee on the potty) Yes, we're training Mickey too. Someone's gotta do it!

And Caleb really, REALLY loves making fishing poles out of the weirdest things..

So, back to our project. Pops and Nan came early to help out, and Nan helped us finish our project!

:) We made placecards for the table. They were so cute and the boys and Nan and I had a blast making them!

Then my brother and sister in law, and their 3 kids came. We always have a blast together, and the cousins love being together now, it's so cute!

That night after Darryl's parents and sister came, we had a little birthday party at the house for Wesley's 4th birthday. It was so fun, and this pic tells all! :)

And I think Mimi got attacked by the new dino..

The next day was Thanksgiving and we pretty much cooked all day long! We even had pretty aprons to cook in!

Darryl's brother, wife, and 2 kids showed up that day about 2 hours before we ate. At that point we had 7 kids 4 and under, and they all did really well together!

Then it was time to eat! I was way excited to use our Polish pottery and german crystal for the first time!

It took alot to finish the meal, but we did, and it was great!! All the adults fit around the table and the kids ate picnic style!

All in all, it was such a fun time. Way too short, but still a blast!

And that was JUST Thanksgiving. Oh my. I might have to leave the catching up since then for another day! :)

Catch up time!

Just this past week, we've been really busy! It seems the closer it gets to Christmas we just get busier and busier. We are pretty much done with unpacking the house besides a whole lotta stuff that's in the garage, still in boxes. Who needs it anyway?

Ok so last week, Pops & Nan came up for the day to play with us. The boys were so happy to see them since it had been about 2 weeks, and that's a long time apart after they got to see them every day for 6 months! Anyway, we all had a great time. We hung out at the house, bbq-ed some chicken with 2x baked potatoes, went to the reservoir..

and farmers market..

and even got a little baking time in before they had to leave! It was really nice to spend that time with them, and the boys loved it!

Saturday morning we went to the pumpkin patch about 20 minutes from here. It was so fun!! We went on a hayride and saw some cows, goats, and lots of beautiful scenery..

And lots and lots of pumpkins!!

Sunday came, and after church Pa J & Mimi came down for a visit! We had alot of fun just hanging out and eating burgers. During halftime of the Saints game, we went to the reservoir to show them the beauty that we have just 5 minutes from us! :) It was such a nice night, and not cold at all!!

We headed home to catch the rest of the Saints game and the boys and Mimi and Juji baked an apple pie! Caleb really enjoys using the apple slicer, and they had alot of fun doing it. We are glad they came to spend some time with us. :)

Monday was the first day of Abeka K4 for Caleb. He really enjoyed it, and did so well with it. Here's his first art project he did on Tuesday!

Someone else has caught on to our hot cuckoo coffee, and that would be Ayden! I now have to split Caleb's cup in half so they can both have some. And yes all 3 of us have to sit on the bench! It's kind of funny..

Another event going on in the Phillips household, potty training! Ayden does SO well with it, I'm really proud of him. He gets kind of embarrassed about things, but he's so cute.

Tonight we made caramel apples!! It was alot of fun, and the boys really liked seeing it and sort of helping. They were both worried about how hot the caramel was.

our week was pretty busy, but very fun! And it's not even over yet. :) Tomorrow we are carving pumpkins, and late Friday night we are heading to Slidell to spend Halloween with the grandparents! We are going to the fall festival at church, and Mickey Mouse and Thomas are very excited! Haha.
