Once we got home the kids were super excited to dye the eggs, so we did.. and they loved it..
Kgrace was a mere 9 days old here... ;)
Sunday morning we had a great time at church, and then headed home to let the boys dig into their baskets! They loved them! Ay especially loved the peeps! I posted a video on the Ayden's Hope facebook page with him talking about them. Cutest thing ever I tell you...
The boys had a blast finding the eggs all over the yard.. we didn't know that this would be the last Easter we'd get to watch our boys (who were BEST friends) hunt eggs together..We didn't know that the next Easter we'd be bringing peeps to the cemetery with tears running down.
We didn't know that our sweet Ay man would be in Heaven just two months later.
But what we did know then..
is that Heaven is REAL. eternity is real..and even more so now our hope we have through Jesus Christ is REAL.
We will see our sweet boy again, laugh with him again, and thank the Lord because of what Jesus did on the cross we WILL celebrate Easter with Ayden again!
This is the real meaning of Easter, because without the resurrection of Jesus there would be no Easter. This holiday has never meant more to us than it does today.
Thank you Jesus for our sweet kids, and thank you for the cross!
Because I couldn't go an eternity without hearing his sweet voice and kissing his little face!
And to quote lines from one of Ayden's favorite songs...
One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now He's ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now He's ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again
Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
