So today I was straightening up the living room and Caleb headed upstairs to get a toy. I told him to stay up there since Ayden & I were about to go up there to clean up the boys rooms. Caleb proceeds to ask me why he has to stay up there and so forth. I just explain to him what we're going to do up there and I'm like, just go up there Caleb, and we'll be there in a minute. Then Caleb goes, "OOOOK MOM, I'm going upstairs, Gollee! Of course I had to laugh because he said it with such attitude, and I can imagine he got that from me. LOL But then I had to tell him that all he needs to say is yes ma'am, which he did end up saying right after that.
Then a little later after cleaning his room and playing a bit, we ate lunch and put Ayden down for his nap. Ayden usually goes down like 30 minutes to an hour before Caleb so Caleb & I can do "school". We do flashcards, and write on his draw erase board, read stories, do puzzles, whatever he really wants to do that day. Well today he was interested in flashcards. So we pulled out the ABC flashcards, and he was doing really well. He's so funny when it comes to making the sounds, he LOVES to make sounds. Anyway, when we got to the E, he had this frown on his face and he said, "Mommy, the Elephant is sad because he can't find his mommy!" And I said what do you mean? And he was like " you nember (remember) he got lost and can't find his mommy." And I *think* he was referring to Dumbo, but we've only seen that movie once when it came on TV here like 6 months ago! LOL But it was so sweet, because then he was like, "it's ok elephant, let me kiss you, don't be sad." I thought it was the sweetest thing ever!
