We had a GREAT week of school this week!
Caleb was interested in doing lots of cutting & gluing.
He even did some sequencing with a story about camping.
We did chalkboard work every day. He's getting better and better at reading the long vowel words!
He's also doing great writing numbers I call out to him. He does that about 3x a week.
He's moving right along in the Little Owl books!
He cracks up at the stories, he really loves them.
Ayden had a good week too! He did lots of coloring, and drawing.
We also had a new learning game for him this week!
Matching colors! I got this from Carissa here.
If you haven't checked our her site, do it now! You won't be sorry. :)
Anyway, Ay was SOOO excited about this. He loves "school".
His concentration when he opened the clothespins was too precious.
Cbear came over to see what the hype was about, he loves that Ay is old enough for
"school" too.
This was so funny, because he was saying "Where's the black?" He was wanting
to fill in that gap between the pink & orange. :)
He was so proud of his finished product! And so was mommy!
He has done this about 3 or 4 times this week! lol
So, about 2 weeks ago I made some phonics blocks using these things..
(found the idea here)
and this week was Caleb's first go at it!
First though, he made a train out of the blocks. ;)
He LOVED it.
He was cracking up at how fast he could "build" different words.
He would tell Ayden what they were, and they would both crack up. It was SO cute.
Caleb asked to play this the next day, and it just made me so HAPPY that he
was excited to play his reading game!
The boys got down the puzzles and we did a few of those!
We also did the normal worksheets, Bible verses, and song time.
The boys love song time :) Ayden always asks for Jesus loves me, and they
are both learning the sign language to the song. So sweet. :)

SCHOOL=FUN at the Phillips house!
I love the color matching game for AY. DOes he also take off a pin when you call out the color? The letter blocks were such a great idea and so pretty! Those will def. be used many times over throughout the years!
Oh, I love the color matching game! I'm going to have to go check that out and print one out!
Erin, I just love your blog! You are such an inspiration to me! I am going to "borrow" your colors/clothespin and block idea for kiddos, lol. I love the way you think "out of the box".
Love this colour-matching idea and the phonics blocks! Also really love that bunny cake!
Thanks for popping by!! Much appreciated!
Take care,
Georgia
