Troublesome Tuesdays..
So unpacking a house while raising a 2 year old & a 4 year old takes work. Hard work. And if you're like me, the house needs to be clean at the same time while you're trying to unpack everything, or you go nuts. I don't like things that are unorganized, and a couple times during this process Darryl & I have just wanted to take all the unopened boxes in the garage that we still have to go through, and chunk them out to the curb. Yet, we're sensible. We haven't done that. It's taking awhile to get everything done, but we are getting there! We have quite a few projects lined up to do, but I want all the clutter out first. :) Anyway, the boys are loving their new home. The backyard is huge and they really love that. But on rainy days like this one, it's not so fun for them. So morning bathtime is a must, lets them play in the water for a bit and gives me time to mop my floors! Or so I thought.. Ayden decided today was a good day to drench the floor in water. Who cares? Mom was going to mop it anyway right? Uh, yeah I guess.. Anyway after cleaning that up and getting them out of the bath, they picked out their clothes (and Caleb matches so well these days, Ayden not so much..) and I was in the room picking up the jammies to bring them to the laundry room. Well, mind you, I had just mopped the floors in the living room, dining room, and entryway, and closed the doors to the living room so the boys could only stay in the hallway, their room, bathroom, and toy room. Ayden decided that he would mop those floors for me! So nice. It was a nice thought but ahh..the water. HE had only gotten the mop onto the floor once but geez, he's quick! So I proceeded to clean that up, and decided to make them lunch. I decided we all needed a little downtime, so I asked Caleb to get a blanket out of the trunk and make it really nice looking on the floor in the living room. He did a really good job, and I made them sandwiches with Funyuns, red grapes, a granola bar, and a box of juicy juice. They loved the picnic and I did too. And yep..you guessed it, I have crumbs on my freshly mopped floor, even a few little juice spills, and I don't really care. Because I also have 2 little, healthy, amazing boys who thought it was the coolest thing ever to have mommy sit on a blanket and eat lunch with them. We had fun conversation and just that, with NO tv on and no unpacking or cleaning or anything of the sort. :) I'm sure there will be more messes made today, just like every other day, but it'll be ok because boys will be boys, and I happen to loooove mine to death. :)

Awesome post! I never have enough time to clean everything either. But I've learned to relax and enjoy the messes too.
It's great to sit and just really enjoy your children, isn't it? I know I try hard to do it, but sometimes the other "stuff" gets in the way. Good reminder!Looking forward to spending some time with those sweet little cutie-pies soon.
